Winter Weather Update
After careful monitoring of the incoming weather conditions, we have made the following adjustments to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community:
- Tuesday, January 21, all schools will dismiss students early to allow buses to be off the roads ahead of the incoming weather. All after-school activities are canceled.
- 1:00 p.m. - Middle and High students dismiss
- 1:30 p.m. - Primary and Elementary students dismiss
- Our School Nutrition Department will send home a meal for Wednesday with each student.
- The School Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. will take place at 2:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 22nd, will be a Learn-From-Home Day. All employees, including twelve-month personnel, should not report to work.
- District administrators will continue to work closely with local EMA officials to monitor our weather conditions.
- Additional announcements will be made Wednesday concerning our plans for returning to normal operations.
- We will provide updates through local news stations, our BC App, social media, and our website, www.burkeschools.org.
- We understand that closures can be inconvenient, but everyone’s safety is our utmost concern. Please stay safe and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
