A Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) Grant has been awarded to the Burke County Board of Education by the U.S. Department of Education.  This grant is awarded for the following period of time, 09/01/2010 - 08/31/2012.  The grant project director is Chris Henry.

Special Conditions of Disclosure (Public Law 111-8)

• 90% of the project/program total cost will be financed with Federal Money.
• The dollar amount of Federal funds for this project/program is $151,453.00.
• 10% of the project/program total cost will be financed "in kind".
